Check that your fire compartmentation is fit for purpose. Using one of our fire safety experts, we will generate a full report on whether your compartmentation is compliant. Whether it has been noted on your FRA or you've had remedial works done to your property, you need to check that the fire compartmentation is still adequate.
Fire-stopping and passive fire protection
Fire stopping, also known as fire compartmentation, is integral to passive fire protection. It refers to sealing any openings between rooms or compartments in a building with fire-stopping materials such as fire board and curtains to ensure that the building is fully compartmentalised in the event of a fire.
Fire stopping separates a building into areas of manageable risk, which helps prevent the spread of heat, smoke, and fire. It is vital to give occupants of a building time to safely evacuate by containing the fire as much as possible. We could identify breaches, generate reports, and rectify any needed fire-stopping. We will also be able to use the latest technology to identify areas of compartmentation needed within your building to ensure that you are compliant.
